Ruben Acosta Killed In El Paso, TX Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 25 in El Paso, Texas. Ruben Acosta lost his life after his vehicle was hit by an alleged intoxicated driver at Gateway North and Sun Valley. Kevin Anthony Meacham was driving a Nissan Titan pickup truck at high speed when he sped past an officer on U.S. Highway 54. The officer activated lights and sirens but abandoned the pursuit due to unsafe conditions. Police believe he attempted to turn right onto Sun Valley but failed due to his excessive speed. His vehicle T-boned a Chevrolet Cruze, who was likely stopped at the intersection. The impact forced both vehicles into a nearby gas station parking lot. Acosta suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed. Meacham was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
