Tom Bufford was injured in a head-on collision between his tractor-trailer and a pickup truck on 210th St. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 59-year-old man was driving a 2007 Ford F-350 truck east when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound tractor-trailer. Troopers said that the tractor-trailer driver, 50-year-old Tom Bufford, was transported to an area hospital and then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
