Tragic accident that occurred on December 14 in Hoquiam, Washington. Vanessa Strayhorn was seriously injured along 5th Street near Simpson Avenue in the 200 block. Medics responded to the scene and transported Strayhorn to an area hospital for treatment. The driver, an 18-year-old female, was reportedly distracted at the time of the collision. An investigation into the accident remains underway. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
