William B. Harms was seriously injured after being hit by his own vehicle on icy Interstate 270. Harms was northbound near Clayton Road when he stopped his Ford Focus after being involved in a crash. Harms exited the car to access the damage to the vehicle. At that time, a Honda Civic driven by a 21-year-old woman slid off the roadway, striking the Ford Focus.
