According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Rutherford was operating his Ford Taurus southbound when it was hit by a Chevrolet pickup that was traveling north on the same route. Troopers said the Chevrolet driver crossed the centerline into the southbound lane and collided with the Ford. Rutherford sustained fatal injuries in the wreck and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
