Wylie New Injured In San Angelo, TX Accident

Victims struck by driver traveling on the wrong side of U.S. 277 in a no-passing zone

The victims wife was also injured in the crash.

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, December 19 at around 8 PM in San Angelo Texas. Wylie New and his wife we’re both injured when the vehicle that they were traveling in was struck head on by another driver on US 277. They were hit by 60-year-old Daniel Lott, a former San Angelo mayor. According to the Texas department of Public Safety Lott had been driving on the wrong side of the road in a no-passing zone at the time of the crash. Wylie and his wife were transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Lott died in the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victims.
