Egglefield tragically was killed in a fatal snowmobile crash. According to New York State Police, Egglefield was on a snowmobile operated by 37-year-old Randy M. Dezalia. The snowmobile ski got caught in a snowbank, then traveled over the embankment and overturned. Egglefield and Dezalia were then thrown from the snowmobile. Egglefield was transported to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, where he was tragically later pronounced dead. Dezalia sustained a leg injury and was transported to Elizabeth Community Hospital.
