17-Year-Old Matthew Nikolai Killed In St. Louis, MO Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on July 29th in St. Louis, Missouri. 17-year-old Matthew Nikolai lost his life after he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist and then a second vehicle in the 6700 block of Chippewa St. Nikolai was thrown into the eastbound lane where he was hit a second time by a 2014 Ford Fusion. Hewas rushed to a local hospital where he sadly succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the pickup fled the scene and remains at large. The 18-year-old driving the Ford and a passenger in her vehicle remained at the scene and are cooperating with authorities. The incident remains under investigation by the SLMPD.
