18-Year-Old Emily Helms Injured In Union Township, OH AccidentTeen injured on Bloomingburg-New Holland RoadPosted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on April 30th in Union Township, Ohio. 18-year-old Emily Helms was injured when the speeding vehicle that she was a passenger in crashed after leaving the Miami Trace High School prom. According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Helms was traveling in a pickup truck driven by an 18-year-old man that crashed on Bloomingburg-New Holland Road at the intersection of Lewis Road. The pickup departed the Miami Trace High School parking lot at a high rate of speed traveling northeast before crashing. Helms was transported to Adena-Fayette Hospital and then transferred to an area trauma center for further medical treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
