18-Year-Old Madison Carpenter Injured In Lucas, OH Accident

The crash remains under investigation

 Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday January 1st in Lucas, Ohio. 18-year-old Madison Carpenter was injured when the vehicle she was a passenger in collided with another vehicle at a stop sign on County Road 139. According to a report from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, a Ford Sedan, driven by 35-year-old Thomas Kotalo, was northbound and failed to yield at a stop sign. It subsequently struck a vehicle that was westbound on Ohio Route 613. Five people, including both drivers, were transported by ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital. Kotalo was cited by police for failure to stop at a stop sign. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
