20-Year-Old Walter Gomez Involved In Santa Rosa, FL AccidentCrash along Edgewood DrivePosted: 8 months agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on May 19 in Santa Rosa, Florida. 20-year-old Walter Gomez was operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed along Edgewood Drive when he failed to yield at a stop sign near Bellingham Street and collided with the back of a van. After impact, the speeding vehicle crashed into an SUV, and then two vehicles parked in a residential driveway. One person traveling in the van sustained a severe injury to his leg, while a second victim was airlifted to a local hospital with glass embedded in his neck. Gomez ran from the scene but was found shortly after and placed under arrest. He was charged with DUI, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of a crash.
