22-Year-Old Ryan Weatherwax Killed In Wappingers, NY AccidentThe crash remains under investigation Posted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Saturday, September 11 at around 6 PM in Wappingers, New York. 22-year-old Ryan Weatherwax was tragically killed when the Yamaha motorcycle he was operating was struck by a vehicle at Myers Corners Road, by the south entrance to the Hannaford supermarket. 83-year-old Charles Goldsmith was operating a Subaru Outback and was pulling out of the plaza, when his vehicle struck the motorcyclist. The victim was transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital where he tragically later died. Goldsmith was cited for failure to yield the right of way and failing to stop at a stop sign. The crash remains under investigation by members of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police.
