25-Year-Old Evan Friend Killed In Miffland Township, OH AccidentVehicles caught fire on I-71Posted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on May 21st in Miffland Township, Ohio. 25-year-old Evan Friend was one of two victims killed when a vehicle caught fire after a collision on Interstate 71 near mile marker 174. Investigators say the driver of a northbound 2010 Jeep Liberty lost control of the vehicle, ran off the left side of the roadway, and struck a southbound tractor-trailer. The Jeep then hit a guardrail and caught fire. Friend was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
