26-Year-Old Daniel Watt Killed In Durham, NC Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday, August 3 at around 1:30 AM in Durham, North Carolina. 26-year-old Daniel Watt was tragically killed when the ride sharing vehicle he was a passenger and was struck from behind on the Durham Freeway. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported that a Mercedes-Benz was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran into the back of a rides hare service Lyft vehicle. Watt was ejected from the car and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes was identified as a 41-year-old man and is expected to be charged with a driving under the influence. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers two the family of the victim.
