Driver of pickup fled scene after collision

The accident remains under investigation


Tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday, December 15 at around 3:30 PM in Houston Texas. 27-year-old Jessica Chapa tragically died in a hit-and-run accident near the 6200 block of Tidwell Road. Chapa was traveling westbound in a jeep when she was struck by a gold pick up headed northbound. Sadly, she was ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pick up truck fled after the collision. The Houston Police Department is pursuing the hit-and-run driver and anyone who knows anything about the crash is asked to call the Houston Police Department at 713-247-4072.
