33-Year-Old James Nichols Killed In Gastonia, NC Hit-And-Run Accident

Police seeking suspect in crash

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, December 24 at about 5:50 AM in Gastonia North Carolina. 33-year-old James Nichols was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver on Christmas Eve morning. The accident occurred on W. Franklin Blvd. near Sante Circle, when a black Jeep grand Cherokee struck Mr. Nichols who was walking from Kings Mountain to Gastonia. The driver fled the scene, and is actively being pursued by police. Anyone with information about the hit- and- run, or the suspect is urged to call the Gastonia Police Department traffic unit at 704-866-6702.
