Ms. Sperling was traveling in a Chevy Suburban near milepost 35, when 19-year-old Emily Rhonda lost control of her Honda and struck the Chevy. Ms. Sperling was among seven occupants in the suburban that were injured, including children ages nine months 6, 7 and 14. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and transported to Saint John Medical Center in Longview for treatment. Ms. Rhonda was found to be driving too fast for the snowy conditions.
