35-Year-Old James Bates Killed In Pompano Beach, FL Accident

Hit-and-run accident on Northwest 15th Ave

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, February 11th at about 4:30 a.m. in Pompano Beach, Florida. 35-year-old James Bates was sadly killed in a tragic hit-and-run accident in the 1400 block of Northwest 15th Avenue. Mr. Bates was struck by one vehicle and was in the roadway when he was struck by a second vehicle. Both drivers left the scene without stopping, according to authorities. Mr. Bates was transported to Broward Health North Medical Center where he sadly passed away. The Broward Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the accident, and asks anyone with information to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
