Tragic accident that occurred on October 14 in Staten Island, New York. 35-year-old Maria Andres-Martinez was struck by a car on Jewett Avenue in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island. While being transported to Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, the ambulance collided with a Jeep, leaving the ambulance on its side. Andres-Martinez was pronounced deceased at the hospital. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
