A pedestrian was tragically struck by an intoxicated driver that fled the scene after the accident. The unidentified victim was hit by a GMC Sierra driven by 40-year-old Juan Antonio Perez at Alamo Road and Wisconsin Road. The DPS said that Perez fled the scene after the accident. Troopers were able to locate Perez’s vehicle, which had damage on its front left end and blood on the driver's side. Perez showed signs of intoxication and was charged with intoxication manslaughter. The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
