42-Year-Old Raquel Zapata Killed In Lompoc, CA Accident

DUI wreck on W. Ocean Ave.

Tragic accident that occurred on July 30th in Lompoc, California. 42-year-old Raquel Zapata lost her life after being struck by an alleged drunken driver in the 600 block of W. Ocean Avenue. Zapata was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to injuries. The driver reportedly fled the scene but was located nearby a short time later and identified as 31-year-old Angela Cline. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The accident remains under investigation by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
