Amtrak train accident on Old Concord Road

Tragic accident that occurred on June 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina. 43-year-old Jerome Lydell Nelson was tragically struck and killed by an Amtrak train in the 8100 block of Old Concord Road. Amtrak said that none of the 106 passengers or crew members onboard were injured in the accident, which remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
