Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident Claims Life in Oakland

A tragic accident occurred on April 18 in Oakland, California, when 44-year-old Jerome Jernigan LaDay was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle accident. Authorities reported that LaDay was riding home from work around 11:30 p.m. when he was struck at International Boulevard and 78th Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The driver fled the scene and remains at large. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
