Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, December 19th at around 8 AM in Bakersfield, California.  44-year-old Victor Lopez Jr was tragically killed in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 184, south of Farmers Lane.Officers received reports about a traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a driver who did not stop at the scene. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.  Authorities didn't immediately determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
