Troy Manz was sadly killed when his bicycle was struck by a motorist during a 72 hour Florida expedition race from Homosassa Springs to Saint Augustine. They were riding north on US Route 1, near Interstate 95, when they were hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 72-year-old man that veered into the bicycle lane. Captain Manz was a physician with 126th Medical Group Air National Guard in Illinois.
