50-Year-Old Cassy Shank Involved In Wood, OH Accident

Crash on Mermill Road

Tragic accident that occurred on July 29 in Wood, Ohio. 50-year-old Cassy Shank was driving a Chevrolet Malibu east on Mermill Road when she failed to yield the right-of-way to a pickup truck on Ohio 25. Consequently, the vehicles collided. Shank was pronounced dead after the accident. The pickup driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, while the passenger – an 11-year-old child – was airlifted to Toledo Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
