50-Year-Old Shawn Cole Killed In Philo, IL Accident

Head on collision on Illinois 130

Tragic accident that occurred on April 29th in Philo, Illinois. 50-year-old Shawn Cole sadly died when the pickup truck that he was a passenger in collided with a truck tractor-head-on on Illinois 130. The wreck occurred  when the 39-year-old driver attempted to pass another vehicle but struck the International truck. The force of the collision caused the pickup truck to veer off the road into a ditch. Tragically, Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was cited for improper lane usage and the crash remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
