52-Year-Old Timothy Hughes Killed In Springfield, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, May 23 at around 10 PM in Springfield, Illinois. 52-year-old Timothy Hughes was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on South 6 Frontage Rd. He was transported to a hospital where he tragically died in the emergency room. The autopsy showed that Hughes died from “multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the incident”.  The crash remains under investigation by the Springfield Police. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
