53-Year-Old Sylvania Byrd Killed In Temple, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Wednesday, January 12th in Temple, Texas. 53-year-old Sylvania Byrd was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle in the area of South 31st Street and West M Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that the pedestrian had been struck by a gray Chevrolet Tahoe. Byrd was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are investigating the situation, and any witnesses to the tragic incident are urged to the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500 or the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-877.
