The wreck occurred when the driver of the 2008 Honda GL1800 motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve along the U.S. Highway 101 and struck a cable barrier post. Passenger Roberta was ejected from the bike and landed in the roadway. The driver, whose identity was not released, was suspected of driving while impaired.
