Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, April 24 at around 10:30 AM in Washington, DC. 55-year-old Rhonda Whitaker was one of two people tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle at Hains Point. The pedestrians were walking when a pick up truck struck them. Both victims were longtime members of Miriam Kitchen family, and tireless advocates for ending homelessness. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
