55-Year-Old Robin Mathis Killed In Chicago, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

 Tragic accident that occurred on December 31st in Chicago, Illinois. 55-year-old Robin Mathis was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash in a marked crosswalk at Belmont and Menard Avenues. The victim was struck by an SUV that then fled the scene. Mathis was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she tragically later died.  Police released a photo of the suspect vehicle which was described as a gray 2014 to 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call the Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
