According to the Texas Department of Public Safety a Ford F-250 driven by Michael Durivage crossed into the northbound lanes after the driver lost control on a curve. Mr. Pope was unable to avoid striking the vehicle. The accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Sadly Mr. Pope succumb to his injuries from the crash.
