Family and friends are mourning the tragic loss of 56-year-old Daniel Mascia killed by a hit-and-run driver on U.S. Route 41.Mascia had just left the place he loved, Rosati's Pizza Restaurant, when he was struck by a box truck and dragged at least 50 feet. Mascia was a long-time customer and a friend to all at Rosati's. Friends described him as a gentle soul with a good heart who would help out anybody in need.
