57-Year-Old Robert Burns Injured In Bartow, FL AccidentFatal Accident On Route 60Posted: 4 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Thursday, January 14 in Bartow, Florida. 57-year-old Robert Burns was sadly injured on State Route 60, half a mile west of Century Boulevard. Mr. Burns was working on a railroad crossing when he attempted to help 61-year-old Kenneth Nelson with a flat tire. As they were working on the car, a Toyota Camry driven by 86-year-old Herbert Rogers struck the passenger side of the car, causing it to rotate clockwise and strike the two men. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mr. Burns was taken to Lakeland Regional Health where he’s reported to be in stable condition.
