59-Year-Old Catalina Mariano-Cruz Killed In Winston-Salem, NC AccidentThe accident remains under investigationPosted: 4 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Thursday, March 4 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 59-year-old Catalina Mariano-Cruz was sadly killed in a two vehicle collision on US Highway 52, just south of US Highway 421. For reasons that are still under investigation, the two vehicles collided and one overturned. Ms. Mariano-Cruz was a passenger in the vehicle that flipped, and she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, 20-year-old James Cuthrell, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, speeding 83 mph in a 55 mph zone, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
