Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, September 21 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. 59-year-old Charles Rutan Jr. was tragically killed when his vehicle was struck by an out of control pick up truck at the Winners One Stop gas station. 57-year-old Jeffrey Burnett was speeding and under the influence of alcohol when he slammed into the victim's vehicle that was backing out of a parking space. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver has been charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and aggravated vehicular homicide.
