Despite efforts, Wood was pronounced dead at the scene. State troopers reported that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Ford was not injured in the incident. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, but they have stated that drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
