He was struck by 37-year-old Crystal Reyes who fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. The police charged Reyes with intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid. The victim was an avid cyclist and was part of several bicycle groups in the area. He was married for 13 years, had three children, and lives behind 10 brothers and sisters. Saldarriaga’s family has started a GoFundMe page to help pay for his funeral expenses. A cyclist group has also created a GoFundMe page to help the family.
