60-Year-Old John Smith Killed In Kane, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on August 21 in Kane, Illinois. 60-year-old John B. Smith lost his life in a motorcycle accident outside Kaneland High School. The 16-year-old girl was leaving the High School and had just left the parking lot and struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Smith, the motorcycle rider, was critically injured and later died at the scene. The teen driver was cited for failure to avoid an accident and disobeying a stop sign. Charges are yet to be filed in the case. An investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
