60-Year-Old Ray Dover Jr. Killed In Fairfield, AL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 29 in Fairfield, Alabama. 60-year-old Ray Dover Jr. was struck by a vehicle that is connected to a slew of heinous crimes. Dover Jr. was riding a bicycle along Graselli Road when he was hit by a motorist who fled the scene. Sadly, emergency responders declared Dover deceased at the site of the crash. Law enforcement officials report the motorist responsible is suspected to be Cortney Dion Price. They say he was involved in a dispute with a woman at the Budgetel Motel when he fatally shot her and left the hotel on foot.  Soon after the shooting, Price hijacked a car at a gunpoint from a family a then struck Dover with the stolen vehicle, continued on, and was eventually involved in a police chase that ended when he crashed. Police arrested Price and charged him with murder. He was booked into Jefferson County Jail with additional charges expected.  The incident remains under investigation.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
