61-Year-Old Kenneth Nelson Killed In Bartow, FL Accident

Fatal accident on State Route 60

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, January 14 in Bartow, Florida. 61-year-old Kenneth Nelson was sadly killed on State Route 60, half a mile west of Century Boulevard. Mr. Nelson reportedly got a flat tire, and was receiving assistance from 57-year-old Robert Burns. As they were working on the car, a Toyota Camry driven by 86-year-old Herbert Rogers struck the passenger side of the car, causing it to rotate clockwise and strike the two men. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mr. Burns was taken to Lakeland Regional Health where he’s reported to be in stable condition.
