61-Year-Old Struck by Pickup Truck While Watching Dog Kewalo Basin Lane

A tragic accident occurred on April 12 in Houston, TX, claiming the life of 61-year-old Laura Garcia. She was fatally struck by a pickup truck while watching over a small dog near Kewalo Basin Lane. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. when a white GMC Sierra turned into the roadway and collided with Garcia. She was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where she sadly passed away from her injuries. The 21-year-old driver remained at the scene.
