62-Year-Old Annette Odneal Killed In Posen, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, May 9th in Posen, Illinois. 62-year-old Annette Odneal was tragically killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near 147th Street and Mozart Avenue. Odneal was leaving the church in her SUV when a driver in a stolen Dodge Charger slammed into her at a high rate of speed. The driver fled the scene without rendering any aid. Odneal was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police have taken one person into custody but continue to search for three others involved. Annette’s husband Obie Odneal said “It’s horrible. It’s just horrible. They tore the family apart.”  Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at 708-385-0277. We send our thoughts and prayers to the heartbroken family of the victim.
