62-Year-Old Gilbert Hilario Injured In Odessa, TX Accident

Head-on crash on 2nd St.

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, February 22 at around 3:34 PM in Odessa, Texas. 62-year-old Gilbert Hilario was injured in a head on crash in the 900 block of E. 2nd St. Hilario was operating a Chevy Silverado and was stopped facing westbound in the left turn lane. For unknown reasons, a Dodge Caravan, driven by 78-year-old Timothy York, entered the turn lane and struck the Silverado head on.  Hilario was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. York was sadly pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
