63-Year-Old Mayra Sanchez Killed In Miami, FL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, January 24th in Miami, Florida. 63-year-old Mayra Sanchez was tragically killed  when her vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Northwest 11th Avenue. An initial investigation indicated that Mayra Sanchez was heading east on Northwest Third Street in a Nissan, when a Range Rover on Northwest 11th Avenue disregarded a stop sign, crashing into Sanchez' vehicle. The impact caused the Nissan to go down the block, crashing into five parked cars. Three men reportedly abandoned the Range Rover and fled the scene. Sanchez was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she later succumbed to injuries. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the crime to call 305-603-6300.
