64-Year-Old Steven Swafford Injured In Wayne, OH Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, March 29 at around 10:30 AM in Wayne, Ohio. 64-year-old Steven Swafford was injured in a head on collision on US Highway 250. Mr. Swafford was traveling west when an eastbound Chevy Colorado crossed the centerline and struck his vehicle head on. The driver of the Colorado, 63-year-old Russell Nowell, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Swafford was taken to Wooster Community Hospital and later airlifted to Akron City Hospital. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
