Davis was riding a bike on Matthews Township Parkway between Sardis Road and Monroe Road when he was hit by a vehicle. Davis, a member of the Matthews Run Club and a cross-fit enthusiast, suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.
