69-Year-Old Patrick Varriale Killed In Staten Island, NY Accident

Pedestrian struck by bus on Platinum Ave.

Tragic accident that occurred on May 13 in Staten Island, New York. 69-year-old Patrick Varriale sadly died after being struck by an MTA bus while crossing Platinum Avenue at Forest Hill Road. The bus did not stop after the collision. Tragically, Varriale was pronounced dead at the scene. After the crash, the 52-year-old operator of the bus was questioned by police who said that it wasn’t immediately clear if he knew he struck Varriale. The New York Police Department is investigating the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
