69-Year-Old Ricky Hagan Killed In Apex, NC AccidentBicyclist struck on US 1Posted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on August 21st in Apex, North Carolina. 69-year-old Ricky Hagan sadly was killed after his bike was hit by a vehicle on U.S 1 between North Carolina Highway 540 interchange and the exit for New Hill Holleman Road. Hagan was operating a three-wheel motorcycle when a Chevrolet pickup truck failed to reduce speed and collided with him. The motorcycle then went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail. Hagan was ejected from his bike and was taken to Wake Med Main campus, where he succumbed to injuries later. The pickup driver was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
